Description:
Brands Hatch & Brands Hatch Indy for GTR. This is a conversion of Brands Hatch from Simbins GTR2002 to GTR. Also includes the Indy track edit I did way back when both tracks have shiny new AIW's with 60 car Startgrids, fixed/edited track cams.
We here at Team Blackhole Motorsports
need your help. As you all know, the team puts in a great deal
of effort to provide you with the latest news and downloads
from the sim racing world. However, all of this hardwork comes
at a steep cost. Until now we have been able to maintain ourselves
but recent site popularity is making this more and more difficult.
Last month alone we transferred over 1.3TBs (thats 1,300GBs)
of data. The cost to provide that much bandwidth is expensive
and we need your help to keep us going. We are kindly asking
our patrons to use the PayPal donate button to make donations.
The PayPal donation is a secure and easy way to send your donations
directly to Team Blackhole Motorsports. Please help us by contributing
a donation so we can continue to provide you with the latest
news and downloads from the sim world.

I love Brands Hatch and was delighted to get this version for GTR.
However, to my dismay I found a serious flaw: in the middle of Stirlings Bend (actually during the entry phase) there is an invisible collision plane which lifts the Lotus Elise up off the track and scoots it off into the gravel trap.
I'm not sure if the problem is a leftover collision plane from a now-absent curb, or the track is longitudinally but inaccurately split, perhaps for the purpose of creating a crown, but either way it makes the track undriveable.
Otherwise the track looks great and drives great (although I'd love it more without the now-obsolete chicane at Dingle Dell Corner).
Graham, I hope you can find and fix this problem and release a fix to us!
Alison (above) is completely right. Don't waste your time on downloading this track, unless you like getting your bottom scraped! :) There are a couple of invisible bumps on the insides of fast corners - you can't miss them, some of them are even on the racing line. Until this is fixed, this is a really excellent track gone to waste. I hope Graham can sort this out and give us an update soon. It'd be a brilliant track, but these car-grounding lumps just render it useless and unplayable. One wonders... did Graham actually TEST this, before he released it? Shame - 4/10
Alison! Tiny! The author (gmilno) has written a new .trk file that COMPLETELY fixes these probs. I don't have the URL ATM, but once installed, this track is PERFECT!!!
http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=202477 is the thread that contains a replacement TRK file. (Direct link to file is http://forum.rscnet.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=273198 but I advise reading the thread too. The file is in post #13, by Graham himself)
Swap this TRK for the Brands.TRK file shipped with this BHMotorsports download. It removes most of the problems, bar one that I have found. Re-rated this at 8/10, cos it is much, much more fun now!
Superb track, possibly the best fun/driving exp. incl the originals!
Such a shame about the two dodgy files. Is there an updated download anywhere, could this one not be updated easily?
