Description:
This is almost a complete remake of the original (v1.1) track update. In the three months that have passed since I did the original N2K2 Sears track, I have learned a great deal about the architecture of the N2K2 graphic file structure and track graphic 3D-engine. That knowledge has been used in this version of Sears Point. This track is actually a higher resolution than version 1.1, but runs at a higher FPS. Signage has been updated from v1.1 to include the temporary signage Sears management used to announce the new name of the track, Infineon Raceway. This was done on Saturday morning, the day before the WC race (Sunday). Literally overnight, all the Sears Point signs were torn down and all the Infineon signs were lifted in place. In some cases, the Infineon signs were only temporary until the WC race was over. This is the case with all the wall signs... which were painted over on Friday night (all night work done by nearly 50 workers) and the narrow "temporary" blue Infineon signs were installed on the track walls. This version of Sears Point depicts those signs. New surface coloring and texture, new crowd textures, new Budwieser Corner signs and new wall textures highlight this v1.4 version of Sears.
