*** Here is all the info I can muster for anyone able to tell me why the game goes from the "Papyrus Racing games" screen to a black screen and no furher!!!
As I know to include all this overkill info-I can feel assured that anyone can see I know a bit about computers too but am thoroughly THOROUGHLY STUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!
*** I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DIDNT note THAT PAPYRUS NASCAR RACING 2002 Season RUNS FINE -NO DIFFCULTIES AT ALL!!!!--- and That even the 2003 season demo wont advance past the above mentioned screen!!!!!!!!!!!!
*** I downloaded the nascar racing 2003 season iso and installed exactly as per instructions included here in parenthesis:
(Nascar Racing 2003 Season
1 - Download, mount or burn with ISO software (I use PowerISO).
2 - Install using Serial Number RAB2-RAB2-RAB2-RAB2-8869.
(if it doesn't AutoRun then use Setup.exe.)
3 - Run NR2003 Patch.exe.
4 - Copy NR2003.exe to root folder.
5 - Have Fun )
*** I have power iso 4.2
*** I am also including AS an ATTACH dx diag &"everest Report" to try to be even more helpful. IT IS INCLUDED LAST
AS it is really large

That little bit is probably a good reason. Nonetheless this is the same post as the thread before it to which I replied...
If this is a fresh install of NR2003, have you run the 3d config program yet? You may have overwritten some fiies that were post patch when you put the demo disc in.
Save what is important elsewhere, and try a fresh install of the full version of NR2003, install the patch, then run the 3d config program, and you should be good to go.
I find it hard to believe that something that ran so well with so many systems would suddenly now have a problem.
The game will shut down if you don't use the 3d configurator. |
