I recently upgraded the drivers on my Nvidia 7900GT Video card. Up until then Grand Prix Legends was working fine. After the driver upgrade when I went on track the screen was black except for the top left corner. The game didn't lock up, I could hear the motor rev when I hit the throttle and I could exit the screen.
I switched the graphic setting to OpenGL and everything was working fine. But then every once in a while my screen will go black. Again the game doesn't lockup, the car is still going I just can't see it. I exit to menu and the screen comes back up and I can start over.
does anyone know what is causing this? I don't recall this happening before I installed the new drivers. I run GPL through GEM, and I'm using the 67 cars, though the mods are installed.
thanks for any help |

I remember having this problem a while back when switching drivers. Is v-sync off ? It's one of the setting in the driver control panel but I'm at a loss to remember which one. You might want to just revert back to the old driver. _________________ Take care,

Check your core.ini file for this edit.
What finally got vid card working for me again was:
- I had the D3D update readme.txt file "core.ini" suggested settings already loaded
- make sure you make the core.ini [D3D7] "DirectMirrorRendering=0" as _________________ Take care,

Nah. Not Saint-ly at all. I was actually beginning to wonder if it worked since it had been so long since anyone responded.
Anyway.. Glad it worked for you. _________________ Take care,
