Background
We are happy to finally announce a first full mod for Richard Burns Rally – the 2002 Season, by E3S & URQ. The aim is to make RBR experience more complete, allowing the players to take part in a full season championship and use all the cars that featured during the 2002 season. All physics will be updated, and you can enjoy the dominating Peugeot 206s, the closely fought battles between Ford/Subaru and Mitsubishi/Hyundai/Skoda or take the Citroen Xsara WRC and see how you can fare with it before this French car became the dominant force of the last 2 years of WRC. The addon is standalone that won’t overwrite any files– we don’t want to keep making backups or compromise your default skins and cars installed just to use the mod! The game will run from original executable file but you won’t be handicapped by things such as mismatching car names in the menu. 2002 Season mod will have an updated new look to the GUI, and skins will all be in high detail.

Contributors
The mod started in August by UrQuattro and eddy3spain, and now enjoys support from our friends from RBR community: BlackF and Racer_S (programming), Rueda (physics) and Tremblay (texturing). As a rule, we will not give any exact release dates for this mod, but our aim is to complete it as soon as it is physically possible for us, without interfering into our every day lives. There is still a lot of work to do, but we hope to get it done this year.
